Any of you who follow me on Instagram and watch my stories (if you’re not, find me @elev8life_with_paige) would know that I have been juicing every day for the past week. And WOW, I cannot truly express how great this has made me feel in words – it’s kinda one of those things you have to feel and experience for yourself – but I’ll try!

The first thing I noticed was the ENERGY I had. Yep I was so energised, straight away and throughout the day that I (a regular coffee drinker), haven’t once had or craved a coffee since I started this a week ago. Crazy for me as I never intended on giving coffee up but I-just-haven’t-felt-like-one.

The second thing I noticed was the CLARITY I felt mentally. Yep, no more brain fog in the morning! I am able to focus longer, I feel more sharp and awake and I’m more productive throughout my day.

Another thing I noticed almost immediately was a STRONGER IMMUNITY. Little story- At the beginning of last week I had this weird, hot, scratchy throat for daaays (like almost a week strangely ) and it just wouldn’t go away. Then, the day I had my first green juice, that afternoon, I started to feel the cold move onto the next stages of a usual cold – slight congestion, itchy ears, headache- I was feeling pretty rough that night, but definitely nowhere near what I’d usually feel in the first few stages of a cold. The next day I juiced again, I was a little congested, with a slight runny nose, but didn’t feel very sick or lethargic as I usually would. The next day I was back to normal with no aftermath that usually hangs around! I actually couldn’t believe how fast it moved through me and how minor my symptoms were compared to an average cold of mine. I’m pretty in tune with my body these days and I’m almost 100% sure that the reason why this particular cold was so fast and basically painless was because of these green juices and the immune boosting vitamins and minerals I was packing into my morning routine.

Another thing I noticed is that I’ve had a SMALLER APPETITE. Yep, I’m exercising more and eating less! That’s never happened to me before but there’s science to back this up, which I’ll talk about next week. For now you’ll just have to take my word and know that green juicing is great for weight loss as well!

And finally, I’ve experienced CLEARER SKIN! Since going off the pill over 5 years ago, one thing I’ve almost always struggled with is my skin and this week is honestly, the best my skin has ever looked! I’ve had friends raving about their green juice or celery juice for exactly this reason and I can’t believe it took me this long to catch on and actually do it. Let’s see! My skin goes through good weeks and bad weeks and maybe it’s in the part of my cycle where it’s a good week but his is something I’m going to document this and keep you posted on! The science to back this up is awesome too and allllll the science of green juicing is coming to you next week! It’s just allll too much for one newsletter!

So now you might be thinking “what do you actually put into the green juice?” and the answer could vary a lot as you can basically juice any green fruit of veg! But this week I’ve started with:

  • Celery
  • Kale
  • Cucumber
  • 1/2 a Green apple
  • Lime

Making this juice has become part of my morning ritual and giving this absolute gift to my bod encourages me to make healthier decisions throughout the day! It’s fresh, it’s delicious and it’s ALKALISING, hence all these incredible benefits! One more time, all the science of green juicing is coming to you next week! For now, try it and feel it for yourself! This could be a serious life changer- I know it’s changed mine already.
